Things I Miss

I miss waking up to NPR.
I miss Friday mornings when I hear StoryCorps.
I miss being touched by the stories of people around me.
I miss being slightly informed about what's going on around the world.
I miss being able to communicate with people around me.
I miss volunteering and feeling like I'm making a difference in the community.
But mostly, I think I miss seeing your faces and hearing your voices.

Oh Weeze, I can sympathize with you about the NPR bit. (and the communication bit as well) You should be able to play some KQED on your computer, but your timing will be all wonky because you are on the other side of the world. I think you can play show-by-show on the NPR web site. We've been hooking the computer to the stereo speakers and playing Car Talk on Saturday and Sunday mornings. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

I miss conversations about wildly inappropriate cultural stereotypes. Ah, those were the days....

Oh wow, Louise! I didn't know you were an NPR listener?! So many layers to Louise and it only took me five years to learn. =) I love Story corps also. I think Deeb is correct, you can listen to NPR on the web. Try the "This I Believe" segments.
